Why You Won’t See Kids’ Faces on Our Page Anymore
Nov 06, 2025
We used to share photos of our sessions, smiling faces, gloves on, kids in their element because we were proud.
Proud of what happens inside these walls. Proud of the confidence, teamwork, and connection that come alive in every round.
But pride doesn’t outweigh protection.
As our work at Geelong Boxing Club and through Beyond Boxing has evolved, so has our understanding of what it truly means to protect children not just in the gym, but in every way we can.
We’ve learned more about the real world consequences of images living online...how easily they can be copied, misused, or stripped of context. Once they’re out there, they’re out there for good.
So we’ve drawn a firm line.
We no longer post photos or videos of kids or teens on our social media.
Not for marketing. Not for promotion. Not even when it looks good.
This decision wasn’t made out of fear it was made out of respect.
Your child’s image is not our content.
Their safety, dignity, and right to privacy come first, always.
We’ll keep finding ethical ways to show what we do and why it matters without ever compromising the young people who make it possible.
Because being truly child safe isn’t a checkbox.
It’s a commitment to keep refining, keep learning, and keep doing better in every possible way.
This is what leadership looks like to us: owning where we’ve grown, taking accountability, and choosing protection over promotion every single time.
