How We Empower Our Kids & Tweens
Oct 07, 2025
At Geelong Boxing Club, every term starts with a conversation, not about how to punch harder, but about how to show up stronger.
Before a single glove goes on, our kids explore their rights and responsibilities in the gym. We use a series of fun, age appropriate slides to help them understand what safety, respect, teamwork, and emotional regulation look and feel like in their bodies and in their words.
Each version is carefully tailored to the group, our 5–8 year olds learn through simple stories and visuals, while our 9–12 year olds dive a little deeper into the ideas of choice, leadership, and self control.
They learn that:
✨ Everyone has the right to feel safe and supported.
✨ Boxing is for the gym, not for the playground or home.
✨ Real strength means kindness, self control, and confidence.
This isn’t just about boxing... it’s about empowerment.
When kids understand their rights, they learn boundaries.
When they understand their responsibilities, they learn leadership.
And when they practise both, they discover what it means to belong to something bigger than themselves.
Every moment in this space is designed to help them grow, strong in body, steady in mind, and safe in heart.
