1:1 Emotional Regulation Boxing Sessions – January School Holidays
This is not a “holiday activity”.
These are 1:1 Emotional Regulation Boxing Sessions with Lena Moxon at Geelong Boxing Club, designed for girls and young women (around ages 10+ all the way through to 18) who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, shut down, snappy, or just done.
We use non contact boxing, breath and movement to help them understand what’s happening in their body, release some of the pressure, and learn simple ways to come back to themselves.
What Happens in a Session
Each session is:

One on one with Lena in a quiet, private space at Geelong Boxing Club

Non-contact boxing (pads, drills, movement) at a pace that suits your child

Practical emotional regulation tools they can use at home and school
-
A chance to talk (if they want to) and to feel understood without pressure
The goal is to feel a bit more grounded and more at home in their own skin.
Who It’s For
These sessions may be a good fit if your child/teen:

Feels anxious, overwhelmed or highly sensitive

Struggles with big feelings, meltdowns or shutdowns
-
Finds it hard to “switch off” or relax

Needs structure, routine and a connected adult presence
-
Likes the idea of boxing, but needs it to feel safe, respectful and not intense
You don’t need them to “be sporty” or be “fit” for this to work.
We start where they are.
Who Lena Is
Sessions are facilitated by Lena Moxon:

Former primary school teacher

Director of Geelong Boxing Club, a socially prescribed boxing gym in North Geelong

A mum who has spent years supporting kids, teens and families with emotional regulation, confidence and wellbeing
Lena combines her clinical training, teaching background and boxing experience to create sessions that are grounded, safe and real.

These sessions run during the January school holidays.
